Section 4 Republican Form of Government

The United States shall guarantee to every State i n this Union a Republican Form of Government and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on Application of the legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.

A LITTLE HISTORY

The first political action committee was created in 1944 as a means of raising money for Franklin D. Roosevelt. Since then, PACs have become a staple of American political campaigns. Generally speaking, PACs are used to support federal elections and national legislation. However, they can and often are used at the state level.
